Ahhhhh...some things never change. Where I grew up, there were Philipino wives, Okinawan wives, Vietnamese wives...now I guess there will be some Iraqi wives.

My husband's mother was a German war bride. She was a secretary at the Army radio station in Munich and his dad worked there, too.
His grandmother lived with them here in the states and never learned to speak English. Her other child, a son, was in the Luftwaffe and died in the Battle of Stalingrad.

My nephew married a Phillipino girl when he was stationed there. The lady is a Stone Fox, quiet, submissive, keeps a great house, is a loving mother and is faithful. What can I say? He could have married an American who watches Oprah all day, won't lift a hand to do anything, bitches when she doesn't get what she wants and then takes you to court and gets half your paycheck for the rest of your life.
