That's not kicking it 20 yards straight, is it?
In High School, a moderately decent FG kicker should be able to kick 45 yards, and be very consistent from 40. A good kicker can go up to 50 yards.
In college, Division I, a kicker should be able to kick at least 50 yards, and be consistent from 45.
This girl is playing Division I football, and has never kicked over 35 yards, which is average for a kicker on a 7th grade team. This is not a triumph for women in sports, but just PC run amok. I could kick 40 yards no problem, and all the PATs you wanted, but the thought never occurred to me to try to be my team's kicker. It wasn't even close to being good enough. Put some knockers on me, and I get a big write up.
