The animals had killed at least 25 exotic birds and attacked other livestock in the area.

I don't think the "enviro-nuts" would do this. The animal liberation nuts would, but the enviro-nuts would know how bad this would be for the environment.

Why am I reminded of the film "Gorky Park?" Oh, there were
dozens Russian sable let loose in the film. No one showed the end result but it would have been just like what happened here.

Happened here in Iowa a couple years back. Really pissed off the locals, they have some tricks up their sleeve this time, can't get specific but I sure wouldn't want to get caught. The realities of agriculture, ranching and farming are bad enough without terrorists thrown in the mix.

What a bunch of Self-righteous pricks! They all need to be tracked down and imprisoned. You can bet your bottom dollar if I were losing all those animals because of some whackos, I would be going on a hunt myself.

it proves minks raised in captivity can survive in the wild.

This has been posted a few times before, but I'm still shocked at the ignorance. Surviving in the wild IS NOT the same as going to another farm and eating all of the domesticated animals. It would be like me trying to subsist on wild deer versus shooting someone's cattle.

``The amount of suffering that has been prevented by releasing them from cramped cages and freeing them from an extremely cruel death more than justifies a temporary disruption to the ecosystem,'' said veterinarian Andrew Knight, director of research at the Seattle-based Northwest Animal Rights Network.

Someone should trap a few of these starving mink and release them in this idiots backyard, or better yet in his house.
