Israelis can and do spy. They're the fingr, howver. In order for Dean to "get to the right" of Bush on Israel Dean would have to come out as a Zionist. A REAL Zionist. Hard to do when you're a hardcore Pali sympathizer.
Dean is doing nothing more than a bad Bill "Why, if I could, I'd be in the trenches of Israel with an AK47 in my hands" Clinton did after he screwed up any chance for peace in his lust for a Nobel Peace Prize and helped cause the latest intifada in 2000 impression.

That's a good point; Clinton played both sides of the Israeli right and left spectrum, where as Dean will have a tough time doing that credibily.
Perhaps a better or more accurate statement would be that Dean is trying to make nice with those on the Right of Israeli policy while maintaining his dove cache?
