de rigeur for the rank and file cattle of the political left nowadays -- the phone workers and the doorbell ringers and the envelope stuffers.
Dean doesn't have much room to scurry here, as the article makes clear.
This is only going to become increasingly problematical for him, troop loyalty-wise, as the primaries unfold.

The Democrat party has been taking it's plays from Ringler's Heart or Reason? What we Don't Want From Our Speakers (Ringler obviously went for heart over reason and so do "progressives")
A recent Rasmussen poll - I don't blame them for not having taken massive vote fraud into account - shows GW ahead of Dean 45% to 34%. Shame Dean's sheep are sending our tax money to his campaign.
