Cruz Control. Is Schwarzenegger anti-immigrant? Is Bustamante?

California's Lt. Gov. Cruz Bustamante is now a desperate candidate making audacious claims.

Mr. Bustamante, the only major Democrat running to replace Gray Davis as governor, is accusing Arnold Schwarzenegger of being anti-immigrant. The lieutenant governor told CBS's "Face the Nation" on Sunday that he is "shocked" that his opponent is "trying to take on immigrants in this state. I think that is wrong." On CNN, he said, "Arnold's going back to the same wedge-issue politics that his mentor Pete Wilson suggested."

I think it's way past time for Republicans to focus on Bustamante as the enemy.

Note the lying Cruz and Democrats:

"In discussing the latter issue both Mr. Bustamante and campaign manager Richie Ross frequently confuse the issue by railing against those who oppose "immigrants getting driver's licenses." But the issue is whether illegal immigrants should get a state-issued license to drive. "

It is tiring.

When my wife came here she followed the process, filed the forms and waited with nervous anticipation for months onto years. She finally became a citizen while we were dating and she was so proud!

It's a slap in the face of every new American who comes here to follow the process and earn a new life when criminals are favored above law abiding new and lifetime Americans.

Actually, even worse, they drop the illegal alltogether and refer to the illegal aliens as IMMIGRANTS, making it sound that if you are against illegal aliens overrunning the country, you are against all immigrants. When they were talking about giving drivers licences to illegal aliens, the news reported that Arnold was against IMMIGRANTS getting drivers licences.
