Okay, Johnny, who will get the RAT nod? Will it be Erskine vs. Blue again? Or are Congressmen Etheridge and/or McIntyre interested? We need to harass those RATs into coming out and running, the more the merrier (open seats in Etheridge's and McIntyre's districts would be quite tantalizing for us). I suggest yelling "come out and get your whooping" through their office door.

I'm still registered to vote in NC. Should I reregister or is this gonna be a close race?

He was governor for 4 terms, to be exact, with Jim Martin between terms 2 and 3.

"I think Jim Gibbons can win in Nevada. As for Tom Daschle well if he retires, I think the GOP can claim it, otherwise it looks iffy."

Gibbons announced last week that he won't run against Reid. As for Daschle, I think Thune could take him down, and hopefully he'll be man enough to run against Daschle and not run for his old House seat.

I'm sure Hillary will give up her senate seat to run as well.....HAHAHA. NOPE, she wants re-election in 2006 so she can run and lose in 2008 and keep her job and run again in 2012.

Even with people on the other side, or in any kind of adversarial situation. I always try to look at things as they are looking at them, put myself in their shoes. I just don't understand why he would drop out of the Senate race. He must be content that if he doesn't make it he can go back to practicing law.

Back when the Edwards hype was the highest it was thought he would be the Dem. VP nominee. That is the only strategy that I can come up with that would make sense for dropping out of the Senate race. Even though I think that Graham or Clark would make more sense for Dean.

Thune isn't interested in running for the House again, he's apparently going to run against Daschle - That's why Tommy has been campaigning early and otherwise been acting very paranoid.

That's too bad cause Harry Reid IS beatable. He's a liberal Democrat in a state trending GOP.

Unfortunately, Jim "do it for the schoooolllls" Hunt was the North Carolina Governor, for what seemed like forever.

There is a reason he was called Jim "Guv For Life" Hunt.

Its just like Republicans to pass up a wonderful opportunity to pick off such an inviting target.

Funny since Tom Daschle looks unbeatable in South Dakota. He helped Tim Johnson get re-elected last year. I don't think much of John Thune's chances. Don't forget the Indian vote fraud in Seminole County. I am already expecting another 90% turnout on the reservations there all for The Daschle.

Hmmm, I hadn't thought of that. I had thought it would be Bowles vs. Burr.

I definitely think Hunt is a possibility, but the last I heard, he was a partner at the Womble Carlyle Sandridge & Rice law firm.
