That is why I pointed out the secrecy, and how strange that is for a religion.
Any legitimate religion will GIVE you, free of charge, all there is to know about their beliefs and theology. All right there up front, before you make any kind of decision.
Anybody who feels it necessary to keep their beliefs secret, is, well, hiding something.
You are correct, and most major religions want you to ask questions, as you grow in the faith, and they want you to learn enough yourself, to find the answers that you need. Blind allegiance is not necessary. A thinking member of these faiths is a true asset, not a threat.
