I cannot believe how utterly offending and prejudice most of these posts are. I thought this site was edged towards "conservatism" but I have been disabused of that notion

Why? Because people around here think the idea of a "religion" based on a guy named "Xenu" taking billions of people hostage and flying them to earth across space in ships that look like DC-8s and deposting them into volcanos that are then blown up with H-bombs, is extremely silly. And the fact they are tax-exempt is even more of an insult.

Once one has perused the extensive archives at http://www.clambake.org it is pretty hard to remain neutral concerning $cientology. Of course, now I'll probably end up being accused of being a child molestor or a wife beater by some shill for the "church".

I'm 22 years old. I've been around the church my whole life and the only time I ever heard the word "Xenu" mentioned was on anti site propaganda. I don't know, or even care, where or why these rumors got started. The topic is dead to me and I'm not interested in it. I'm sorry that you believe whatever nonsense is fed to you.

But apparently, according to you, I've been misled and for all these years my parents and all my friends believe in and worship this tyrant from outer-space and they are waiting for a space ship to land and take us all to this happy world inside a giant clam where we will be safe from volcanoes...
