Really, back in the 80's when Reagan was President, the demos followed Seante precedent, now they do not.

Maybe you should read history, before making it up.

Look at the whole picture. Moderates make up about 60% of the US population. If the Republicans can gain the majority in the Senate by claiming to be moderate and ad hoc vote for some meaningless liberal issues, they will have the power that James Madison once said would never happen.

A 2/3 control of the three branches of government by one political party would end the strife to acomplish their agenda. Though control of the states as well would definitely nail the coffin shut on the liberals, it's not needed when the courts can be controlled by the other two branches of federal government.
