I've got an entire family of religious folks. The hardest thing for religious people to see is their own shortcomings. I rarely find this in self-aware heathens. Religious folks just seem to think they have an endless supply of 'get out of jail' cards for their endless supply of foibles,
The problem is that the rest of us don't see things that way. Most of the rest of the world like to see folks shoulder their own load and accept the responsibilities of their own actions.
Be like Christ, or quit trying. Half-way just pisses everyone off.
