I suspect the WH was more concerned with how knowledge of these people being in the USA would affect the country. The one thing the WH DIDN'T NEED was a group of people taking it upon themselves to avenge the attack on the WTC.

I am convinced that if the families had not been ushered out of here - they would have been attacked and perhaps killed. Sorry .. I'm not for killing innocent men, women and children who had no part of the attack.

Also .. please keep in mind if one act of retalliation had proved successful it might have spurred on larger and larger groups of people to attack the Muslims at large. Can you imagine what would have happened to this country in just a few short weeks ..?? I think it would have resulted in a civil war - nobody would want that - nobody!!

As much as I am for the war and believe it was absolutely the right thing to do - and drawing all the "Jihad All Stars" to Iraq has been a brilliant strategy .. America does not need a civil war on it's own soil. Certainly our police departments already have their hands full with Homeland Security - they don't need a civil war.
