You'd think listening to all the news reports out of Iraq, that things are out of control in Iraq.

Joe Klein in Time magazine going so far as to ask, "Who is losing Iraq?"

I don't know, Joe. But I know this much: We aren't.

He talks like a liberal; he thinks it's noble to die so that Iraq can be free.

That is Wilsonian logic; not conservative logic.

Only this is a conservative website so posting an article that says what a great noble thing it is to die for a free Iraq should be derided especially when it comes from a tv industry type.

As your post should be derided expecially when it comes from a 20-something type? Ah, but this is America and everyone is free to voice their opinions. The best two minutes on the tube is Cavuto's closing remarks. Kudos to Cavuto. A very timely post after coming from the post concerning a sniveling Marine who only signed up for peacetime perk$.

I dont count it as patronizing at all. He speaks the truth. I made it out alive, many of my brothers have not. The deaths of these patriots is not in vein. The Gunny

I can't think of anything more patronizing than a stock show talking head saying how great it is to die for a free Iraq.

I can. A person who unfailingly, incessantly sprints to every thread containing positive news on Iraq only to cyber-urinate all over it, knowing full well that family members of and perhaps even deployed service members themselves will read that childish, venomous drivel.

You're kidding right? If you think Neil is a "Lefty", you're probably think Pat Buchanan is. And that's SCARY!!

Besides...Neil writes some of the best commentary that's posted here.

If you call that standing up for our soldiers, you have a very low bar.

Oh, now you're going to lecture us on how to honor our soldiers in Iraq? Perhaps later we can book Billy Clinton to lecture us on ethics.

Cavuto generally makes a lot of sense in his commentaries - this is no exception. The American Military is accomplishing much good in Iraq and the Middle East. By taking the fight to our enemies and by establishing democracy and a decency in that hellhole we are striking at the source of terrorism - not dancing around the margins.

Cavuto is dead on!

Do you not see the Big Picture of a Free Iraq will mean??

If Iraq can govern THEMSELVES then freedom will Snowball through out the Middle East, thus tampng down thehatred and jealousy the Dark Ages Muslims have for us.

Two free people don't go to war with each other.

Indeed our military is doing for your children and grandchildren what no one else can do....bringing FREEDOM and having it spread.....or are you against Muslims having freedom and democracy?? I think not.

Not only does Cavuto NOT say what you keep claiming he said, you missed the entire point of his piece, which was to counter one-sided "quagmire" reporting. Literacy. Try it.

And I shutter to think what a mother who lost a child in Iraq would think if Cavuto said to them what a good and noble thing it is to die for a 'Free Iraq.'

Our soldiers fought WWII to free Europe.....did you think THAT was wrong? It WAS in another country hat the people were freed......and in this country people (Japanese) were imprisoned.

Are you out of your gourd? Cavuto is right--the news is actually good, despite the bombings and ambushes. The country is coming alive and is becoming productive. This will change the face of the Middle East--and destroy the myths that terrorists feed on.

America soldiers, like my Great Uncle, fought World War II to save Joe Stalin's Communist empire and attempt to maintain English continentalism. FDR was a very bad President to say the least.

War simply unleashes chaos, but soldiers, in many cases, fight to preserve American freedom. To even for a moment shift focus to a free Iraq, is to simply denigrate their lives with Wilsonian liberal crap.

And I shutter to think

My suggestion: get an education first, then post. You are embarrassing yourself. Not only can you not think; you cannot write.

Oh, the phrase is: "I shudder to think"
