He claims to be a conservative, but there is nothing conservative about knowingly throwing an election to the liberals.
McClintock is not serious about running.
Proof..... a $10 a head fundraiser of 200. He needs money, big money. The casino money he's sharing with Bustamante isn't enough. A serious candidate would have a serious fundraiser, and he hasn't done that.
To support McClintock is to support a man who knows that he is tanking the republican's only hope to get rid of Davis /Bustamante.

The same RNC that is behind Arnold has been throwing elections to liberals in California for the last nine years, with their failure to aggressively address Illegal Aliens since the passage of Proposition #187 in 1994. They've torched the bridges, and that's why you see such a staunch resistance among many McClintock supporters to Arnold's candidacy. We've been warning about the likes of Bustamante, MEChA, La Raza and la reconquista for years, only to be stabbed in the back over and over again by the cowards at the RNC. Now they've "discovered the threat of Bustamante, and they want us to save them from the consequences of their cowardice... By guilt-tripping us into voting for Arnold, who says that he wants to lobby Washington to legalize so-called "undocumented immigrants" anyway. Yeah, that'll work.

(Arnold opposes the driver's licenses, but he also wants to lobby DC to legalize Illegal Aliens. Ah.)

Exactly right - makes you wonder why he is trying to keep Arnold for being elected.
Must be a payoff for him somewhere - Maybe he hates Arnold or the Democrats promised him a committee chairmanship or something.
I actually live, vote and pay taxes in San Jose (unlike many McClintock diehard Freepers who don't live in California) and I sure would like to see a Republican governor.
