No Amnesty has ever granted "immediate citizenship" to Illegals, nor am I aware of any proposals to do so. Amnesties always involve the changing of status to legal, through the issuance of a green card.
Therefore, to oppose the granting of "immediate citizenship" is not to oppose Amnesty, as that has never been the term of an Amnesty for Illegals.
In short, this is a red herring, as Arnold could very easily support legalizing Illegals without giving them immediate citizenship.
