Imagine being fired for inviting a co-worker to your child's ballgame. This is all silliness.
The company will lose the suit and if they write such a policy, I hope our most hated friends at the ACLU will come down hard on them.

I hope the employer gets his stuffed shirt sued off. Employers are free to ban non-work related activity during working hours but their employee's off duty pursuits, insofar as it doesn't interfere with the employee's ability to do the job, is NONE of the employer's business.
