A message to the dims:

Friend deceives friend, and no one speaks the truth. They have taught their tongues to lie; they weary themselves with sinning.

What is most encouraging is the conservative attitude of many high school students today. If we can somehow equalize the college professor influence from a 90% liberal faculty to something around 50%, it's over for the libs.

They had learned to value precise statements and clear distinctions; now they came to believe that American liberalism was devoted to blurring distinctions and avoiding clear thought.

Pretty much says it all.

It is revealing that the top Dem candidate is the one that appeals to the angry, leftist wing of the donkey party.

Ever wonder why the U.S. doesn't have a viable socialist/commie party? It is because the 60's college radicals were directed by mentors like Saul Alinsky and Dorothy Healy to infiltrate and ingratiate themselves into the mainstream corporate and media complex. And into the Dem party, of couse. Well, they have succeeded, and succeeded very well. But not well enough to convince a skeptical America to endorse most of their agenda. Just well enough to pull the Dem party well to the left.
Now they want their 'revolution', ie., payback for their failure to establish a free-lunch utopia back when they were young. They are getting old, they know this is their last chance. And Howard Dean is their man.

All the old hippies and all the freshly-minted leftists out of college support Dean...in short all the old losers and all the liberal university ignoramuses.

When you are losing in poker, one strategy is to go all-in on a longshot hand. Thus, IF things fall apart in Iraq, and IF the economy tanks, and IF Dean doesn't self-immolate in the course of a 15-month campaign, they just might pull off a stunning political coup. They have written a political script in their heads, hoping history will validate their political wet-dream.

"Their view was and is : we have all the answers, you pathetic, ignorant, middle-class worms, do what we tell you, and don't ask questions."

I think you nailed it right there. I was having a similar discussion w/ my wife the other night about johnny dipp, et al.

This point was brought home to me in a novel I recently read while on vacation; "Fierce Invalids from Hot Climates" by Tom Robbins wherein the author posits that an "elite" exits that sets the tone in fashion, politics etc. According to this view they are the ONLY humans and the rest of humanity is at there disposal, you know to shovel snow and dig coal and stuff like that. Those people are not really alive and so don't really count.

I think there are alot of people that consider themselves in this "elite". They are the enemy. They are contemptable. You'll recognize them by their smirk; George Clooney call your office.

Unforgiveable oversight to be sure. Yes indeed! And the list goes on.
