Repeating that black voters were disenfranchised in Florida.

Am I correct in remembering that an investigation revealed that the only black voters who were disenfranchised in Florida were Republicans? I think they were conservative Haitians who were stopped from going to the polls? Or is that a conservative urban legend?

Military absentee ballots were challenged by teams of attorneys who volunteered from all over the state to go to Miami-Dade and S. Broward (I think) to recount. The attorney I worked for a "recruitment letter" but he didn't go because he voted for Nader.

Marc Racicot came down to Florida to watch the recounts so that GOP reps wouldn't get ejected from counting rooms. IT WAS ALL AWFUL and Bush won, I think he got even more votes the last count. It was more than 500 votes. I can't speak for the black vote problem.

The Panhandle thought that Gore won so they turned their cars around and went home. That's what the NATIONAL MEDIA DID TO THE PANHANDLE.

CR, I did say "pander" but it's been a long couple of weeks. We're trying to keep a Florida woman alive. Her husband and Judge wants to starve her to death and she's not in a coma. Visit Terri Schiavo's thread. You'll see why I am wilting on other threads. She needs everyone to call Governor Bush.
