My wife knew a woman who would date and deliver her charms in exchange for a bedroom suite or refrigerator and then dump the purchaser. She picked up quite a lot of household goods that way.

This story reminds me of years ago, when we had professional psychologist who specialized with sexual issues teach a workshop at my church discussing a Christian perspective on sexual issues. One of the topics involved the 'environment versus heredity' debate, and the teacher was emphasizing the dominance of the environment side, and that the heredity argument has been greatly overstated. As proof she cited an actual study(with all the usual scientific controls and reviews) that tested what images could arouse a group of men. They found that if a man masterbates to an image 'x' number of times(I think it was 2 dozen), that image, no matter what it is, will then stimulate him in the future. Most astounding(and why I am typing this adult-themed post) was that one of the objects used in the study that some study participants after a period of time became stimulated by the sight of was, of all things, tires!
Hard to forget that particular class, and it certainly blows a hole in the "I was just born that way" copout excuse.

Maybe his wife was tired..
42-year-oldROFL typical probably married with kids too. What an insult to think a 25 year old woman would sleep with a guy that old for only tires. Better to offer a mercedes next time due to the age disparity. What country does he think this is anyways? For that price better to try the streetwalkers.

Man charged with offering,

Maybe they left out the comma.

Reminds me of the lady who went to the Western Auto store for one hinge. After a lot of looking the clerk found her one solitary hinge which he gave to her. As she was leaving, he innocently asked "Do you want a screw for that hinge?", to which she replied, "No sir, but I would for that mixmaster".

"An employee of a tire dealership in Athens has been arrested on charges that he offered tires to a woman in exchange for sex." I think she got angry when she discovered the tires were retreads, and his tube needed air.

With tires, size matters.

I once had a comparable offer from a guy who had my car in pieces in his yard, a (very good) shadetree mechanic who was rebuilding my bad transmission. It was an awkward situation diplomatically, since I didn't want him mad at me while my car was in pieces, but he didn't force me, took no for an answer, and did a good job fixing my car for cash.
I wasn't particularly happy to have that situation to deal with but I can't imagine having turned him in to authorities for it. Unless a guy is threatening or won't take no for an answer, how can it be a crime? A sin, yes, but a crime?
