Jeff Jacoby: The war on US didn't begin on 9/11

THE WAR we are in didn't begin on Sept. 11, 2001. It began 22 years earlier. On Nov. 4, 1979, Islamist radicals stormed the US embassy in Tehran and, with the support of the Ayatollah Khomeini, proceeded to hold 52 Americans hostage for the next 15 months. The Carter administration's response -- an embargo on Iranian oil, a break in diplomatic relations, and a botched rescue attempt the following April -- was feeble and inept. It was also the start of a pattern that would be repeated time and again in the years and administrations that followed.

This is article posits the spread the blame around theory in an attempt to defuse "Losing Bin Laden". The truth of the matter is that until the Berlin Wall fell there was a Bear on the world's stage that had to be taken care of first. While it may have been a sick bear, it still had to be acknowledged. After The Gipper defeated the Bear, the US was the sole occupant of the stage. GHWB demonstrated America's might. The blame for our current situation lies with X42 and the UN.

"We have taken the fight to the terrorists, but we have not yet taken on the states that are their mainstay and refuge: Iran, Syria, and Saudi Arabia. The governments of those three countries, more than any other, were responsible for Sept. 11 and the 22 years of terrorism that preceded it. Until they are toppled or transformed, the war against us will go on."

If we are serious, Arafat needs to be eliminated along with the first scum that takes his place, just to make the point.

I have never understood why Arafat was untouchable. He should go, one way or another.

"I have never understood why Arafat was untouchable. He should go, one way or another."

The powers to be think there will be "blood shed" if he is martyred. [imagine that!?]

Like I said, kill him, and kill the next one the Pali's select to take his place.

Then kill the next one until they get one like MAHATMA GANDHI .

"...an attempt to defuse "Losing Bin Laden"

Get a copy of this book, read it, and pass it along to others. For either Bill or Hillary Clinton to say ANYTHING negative about Bush and the way he's running things is absolutely shameful and disgusting!
