A train derailment in Southern California has forced the temporary shutdown of the gasoline pipeline that delivers most of the Phoenix area's gasoline supply.
Authorities say at least one rail car derailed on or near the Kinder Morgan Energy Partners gasoline pipeline near Beaumont, Calif., about 25 miles east of Riverside.
Kinder Morgan says the pipeline was shut down for inspection after the derailment last evening and that the pipeline was to be turned back on late Monday.
Gov. Janet Napolitano says state officials were notified soon after the shutdown. She says the Phoenix area has at least a four days supply on hand compared with the normal three days.

D@AMN. I hope there were no serious injures.
Look for the price of gas in Pheonix to go up to $6 a gallon tomorrow, with the rest of the nation at $4.

Yup. And in CA, it will go up and never come back down.

This is old News. Didn't this happen Monday or Tuesday? That 3 or 4 day supply should be just about gone ...

I believe you are correct in that it happened the beginning of the week. Now what if this became a real big problem about now? I have not heard about this on radio or tv. Since I am fairly close to my computer, radio, tv, etc., I would have heard about it a lot more.
On a positive note, I called a few gas stations and they said this would have no impact on the gas supplies.
