I was watching the demanor of the anchors on the Weather Channel and they looked freaked out.
Do they know something that we dont regarding projections of the storm hitting a major urban area?

Meg, they get paid to look worried. I always like it when the 'winter storm expert' Paul Kason (or something like it) comes on WITHOUT HIS JACKET ON and his shirt sleeves rolled up like he was feverishly pouring over radar maps...my kids start thinking 'snowday.'

Ewww...didn't mean to be so flip...but that does look nasty. I remember the flooding we had (near Pittsburgh) with Hurricane Agnes (years ago)...

If it doesn't turn north as most do, Georgia and the Jax area could take a real beating.

My husband and I have been noticing a trend on the Weather Channel for the past few years.
All of the women anchors are continuously pregnant. And, there is also a really happy male anchor, who is always smiling. :) Think there is a reason why?
This hurricane looks like it is going to be highly destructive.

I've noticed that too, must be a lot of downtime between tornadoes, hurricane and snow/ice season!
They cant seem to keep a non preganat woman on staff there..

Meg, They already know that it's going to be a class 8 storm in 3 days and when it hits it will hit ALL of the south east coast. Not just a city or two but the whole south east COasT! Run, Run, It's the worse storm the world has ever seen. Personally I'm headed to london. Get out while you can.

That is an excellent observation! It's like they won't hire you unless you're on fertility pills.

I know which happy weatherman you mean...Bob somebody (his last name begins with an 's' I think--maybe Schultz?)...my nine year loves the weather channel...he prefers it over kids' TV.

My three year old daughter likes the Outdoor Channel, where there are old men sitting in bass boats in the middle of the lake, telling fishing stories. :)

The Weather Channel has the prettiest pregnant women in America as their anchors. They actually make pregnancy look like a happy, normal, desirable state. Very pro-life.
They are lovely dignified women, always tastefully dressed, and perfect in their speech and demeanor.
I especially like Vivian Brown.

Au contraire...there is a cold front north and west which could draw this storm rapidly up and in .
The midatlantic could be hit just as easily as the Carolinas.
