I couldn't believe that movie as I was watching it -- it actually gave the president the credit in making policy decisions and being a leader. Interestingly, here is the write-up at TVGuide.com (bias alert):
DC 9/11: Time of Crisis
135 mins.
Having played a buffoonish President George W. Bush on Comedy Central's That's My Bush!, Timothy Bottoms does dramatic justice to the Commander in Chief in this involving 2003 docudrama, which chronicles events following the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11. The film is not necessarily about the personalities, according to screenwriter Lionel Chetwynd, [but] about the complexity of what it was like to try and be a leader. Effortlessly blending actual footage with dramatic reenactments, the movie is at times emotional and suspenseful. But it occasionally stumbles when saddling Bush with some overly melodramatic, John Wayne-ish bravado.

Geez...I saw the 2nd plane go into tower #2 and then watched this all day on TV. Does any one know what became of the news that Air Force One communication codes had been violated somehow?

F-16 pilots from the Texas National Guard. Called up to protect "one of their own". Although not told explicitly what their mission was to be.

And Bill and Hillary are doing everything they can right now to make sure he is brought down. They tested the waters, saw they could get away with it and it is full speed ahead now. These two are going to destroy this country competely if allowed in power again. They almost did it already.

Air Force One pilot declines to file a flight plan with tower and will "play it by ear" and is without question and justifiably so, obliged.
It's bone chilling to watch this.

Recording it to SCSI HD now.Can I come over and watch Monday Night Football?
To: Rander7
Watching it now. It's good because you don't have liberal media slandering and negative speculations going on. It's the people directly involved speaking for themselves.

I couldn't help but ask my spouse when congress and senators spontaneously broke out into "God bless America..." ... curious as to why the A.C.L.U. didn't object to that - you know separation of church and state, crap. I suppose they like to nit pcik their way to a godless state and this would be too obvious.

"It's bone chilling to watch this." Some of my worst fears this day, were not only real, but I think things were worse than I imagined. I just thank God that there were such wonderfully talented and competant Americans in place to handle the situation. From Marine One, to Air Force One, to President's staff, and the WH staff. We are very fortunate that they were in place on that day.
