Tom Harkin invokes the "beloved Paul Wellstone"...how many times can he go to that line?

Hopefully forever. Every time the Dems bring up Paul Wellstone, everyone outside of Minnesota thinks of only one thing: The sick spectacle that was the memori-rally just after his death (and just before election day). The entire country was enraged by how evil and power-mad the RATS acted that day. I have no problem with Harkin ensuring they get enraged all over again.

He brags about not paying taxes until after his presidency, when he became rich. He says that he is glad to pay 'his fair share' now. Isn't that nice? At what? 58? He is finally going to pay alot of tax, and he is proud of it?

Those terrible republicans -- taking billions from after school programs to give the rich tax cuts, investing less in workers safety, and refusing to give the NY fireman any help, so much so that they were going to kick out 500 fireman in NY just so people can get their tax cuts. Yes indeed -- he is the master spinmeister.

I am from Iowa originally. We have a saying out there: "The only Republicans in Minnesota were born in Iowa." I bet Iowa goes Republican in 04 and that this is Harkin's last term.
