Fossil Skeleton Found from Era of Big Government
(2003-09-09) -- Archeologists digging near the Potomac River report they have found a partial human skeleton from the Magnusregimentumian era, also called 'the era of big government.'
Scientists have dubbed the creature Homo Republicus.
"The cranium is rather large, but the spinal column doesn't seem strong enough to support it," said an unnamed archeologist working at the dig site. "Despite its impressive thinking capabilities, it apparently crawled along on its belly, often carrying opportunistic vermin on its back. Homo Republicus was involuntarily forced to support the parasitic vermin, because it wasn't strong enough to stand on its hind legs and shake them off."
Scientists say that during the past year they have found increasing numbers of relics from the era of big government.
"It's a renaissance of the period," the archeologist said. "Everywhere we look we're seeing increased interest in the Magnusregimentumian era."

Pretty accurate metaphore...

I love Scrapple, but hardly ever turn to it unless someone points me in the direction. The other articles are even better than this. Bump for humor thanks.

Well, don't keep us in suspense, did the sauropod get dissed? Or is the sauropod only masquerading principles? Or is the sauropod so filled with principles that such would make a great epitaph chiseled onto its headstone by the triumphant democrats who continued to be swept into power by the calculated divisions of opposition?

No, you saw me once again stating a fact, that remarks like that one turn people OFF to your candidate, whoever it is.
By saying stuff like "I saw you dissing folks that are insisting on holding to principles," you are insinuating that those that don't agree with you don't have any principles simply because they don't agree with YOU, as if you and you alone hold all the right views.
It's basically the Alan Keyes mode of operation.

We are plummeting into huge deficits. It would be politically smart to declare war on New Deal constitutional novelties and hack off big hunks of the FedGov and hand it back to the states, where we could have 50 separate debates on what to cut.
One be pragmatize onesself into political irrelevence, too.
