I'm still waiting for "White History Month", or perhaps "European-American History Month".

That's just plum dumb. Every month is "White History Month."

There is and always has been quite a lot of history taught without any racial perspective. It is a bad thing to break out those lessons about one ethnic group or another from lessons on human history as a whole.

Western Civilization, as a history subject, will of course feature many white personalities as movers and shakers, inventors and thinkers. That is quite different however from a course of study dedicated exclusively to the story of and achievements of white people to the absolute exclusion of all others.

Having taken the core curricula at CSU, I completed the required course work of what was then called African-American studies. It struck me at the time (and still does) as being perilously short-sighted to re-segregate learning.

respectfully,

Your fellow (former) East Clevelander,
BL
