Gee whiz, what Bush is seeking to do is not that far fetched. Turkey is Muslim, but fairly secular and democratic. It is much less productive of terrorists than other regimes. The Kurds already have the rudiments of a democracy, and their remains are not generally found in craters at suicide bombings. Iraq will be more democratic, productive, and less of a threat to everyone but the shaky despots in the regimes it borders.

Indeed there is a War going on, and that is not a new thing.

The difference b/n the Muslims, and the other protaganists in this War is the fact that, The Muslims have not the promise that they will prevail over all adversity.
