The senator also took a potshot at the 9th Circuit, calling it a "lunatic court." The possible court delay of the recall election is irrelevant to his campaign, according to McClintock. The important issue, he said, is that the 9th Circuit panel is trying to stop an election, which has never occurred in the U.S., even during the Civil War.
He said he does not consider the punch card voting machines inaccurate, and added that California has virtually no security at polling places to make sure that illegal immigrants do not vote.
There is "a great deal of anecdotal evidence that great numbers of illegal immigrants are voting," he said, a situation that he said will be made worse by the law that Davis recently signed allowing illegal immigrants to obtain driver's licenses.

I can believe illegal aliens are voting in large numbers. If its true, I wouldn't be surprised if the Nine Circus decides to let the election go on. The fix is in anyway.

Well, I was wondering when somebody - anybody - would actually SAY it. It figures that it would be McClintock...nobody else has the guts.

Motor voter. Think Loretta Sanchez.

They're waiting until after 1 January 2004 so that 2 million more illegal aliens can register to vote after they get their drivers licenses.

The GOP should stop fighting it it CA. Let the Rats continue to run it into the ground and then use it as a model for what NOT to do.

Not gonna happen. Another referendum coming.
To: ambrose
Rest assured, illegals are and have been voting in every election and every state where they illegally reside. This is why congress has and will do nothing about the problem of illegals.
To: Blood of Tyrants
Oh the country already knows California is a disaster zone. Its taken only five years for the liberals to make it an economically radioactive state.

And it explains why politicians like Orrin Hatch pander to them. They need their votes.

The US Congress should pass a legislation to require PROOF OF CITIZENSHIP to register to vote.

"anecdotal evidence " ???
Surprised to hear Tom using this -
Government by "anecdotal evidence" would seem to be against his basic principles.

A republic, if you can keep it.We can't. Like a computer O/S, the Left have corrupted the judgement files of the body politic. I fear it will take a "crash" and a "clean" reinstall before California functions properly.

Exactly.

"The US Congress should pass a legislation to require PROOF OF CITIZENSHIP to register to vote." I think this would be a great thing for a grass-roots campaign, to demand that our senators and representatives introduce and vote for such a bill.
