I'm fine, thanks!

Here in Edgecombe County, NC [near Rocky Mount], we lost power for about 8 hrs.
Lots of limbs and leaves are down, but it's nothing that can't wait till tomorrow.

About the most exciting thing that happened was watching two power lines arcing as the wind blew them too close together.
Then I took a nap for about two hours; afterward, my dad and I cooked chicken on the grill and drank beer.

Compared to other hurricanes I've been through, this was a non-event.
It was a good excuse for a little party, though. ;)

Today I am back at work.

I lost some shingles from my roof, but luckily it's not supposed to rain this weekend. Power was out for 30 min one time, then about 1 hr. another time.

All in all, we were lucky. I'm trying to call my aunt in Atlantic, but I'm getting the "all circuits are busy". That area was one of the hardest hit. Atlantic, Sea Level, Cedar Island, Williston, Davis, Otway, Bettie, Marshallberg, etc. all had a lot of flooding.

My parents in Jacksonville are OK, though. No damage, and they didn't lose power at all.

Glad to hear you and your family made it through ok. Isabel certainly wasn't anywhere near the ferocity of Fran or Floyd, thank God.

We did well here too, I HATE being w/o electricity and I'm glad we were only w/o ours for 5 whole minutes LOL.

Lots of limbs, big and small and TONS of leaf confetti plastered on the side of everything facing north. I told the boys we would definately be raking leaves this weekend even though fall isn't here yet.

Glad you're OK CD!

Hope everyone else is fine. I'm in Texas, so I didn't see any of it.

Neat, an industrial-strength bug zapper.
