The last few years have revealed to Americans unbelievably horrible revelations about Islam.

After 9/11 there was a run on bookstores to buy a copy of the Qur'an. Seeing this, in the Middle East, muslims rejoiced at the American interest in Islam and foresaw a wave of converts to Islam. What they overlooked was that Americans weren't interested in converting, but were VERY interested in this new enemy and the religion that fueled the 9/11 event.

In the ensuing two years Americans have learned much about Islam and those who practice it. Where muslims were once thought of as harmless, they are now viewed as fanatics who think nothing of killing innocent civilians. Even those muslims who are native born Americans are viewed with distrust. This is the legacy of those fanatics who flew into the Towers on 9/11.

You are quite correct in your assessment of a renewed interest in "re-discovering" Islam after the attacks. However, a dual discovery of Islam has evolved. One thread includes a "wave of converts" to Islam especially in the last few years of prison inmates. disaffected youth, alienated youth, angry types and misfits (think John Muhamed) who satisfy their deep despair and anger by belonging to what they see as a "cause". What forces are involved in their creation? The despairing, secular society that has overwhelmed mainstream religion's capacity to deal with the anomie of life today. In past eras they would have disappeared into the "wild west" or somewhere in the far reaches of premodern life.

It is just possible that the attacks on 9/11 galvanized rather than sounded the death knell for this nation. (I do believe that having this President in office is significant as far as the ability of our nation to withstand and defeat these enemies.)The Japanese realized their error almost as soon as the attack on Pearl Harbor was over. They had awakened the "sleeping giant"

The perpetrators of 9/11 were not fanatics. The quran supports killing anyone who "oppresses Islam" We need to know that through demographic changes due to declining birth rates our enemy will be growing stronger. Europe will belong to them in a few decades.

Mrs. Siham refuses to believe her husband converted to Islam, because he had never mentioned this to her or anyone else in his family. Also, there is an irregularity in his conversion document. Dated July 29, 1991, it is signed by two Muslim witnesses (as required) but not by the husband himself. Where his signature should be there is merely an 'X' mark. Further, his death certificate stated that he was Christian and he was buried in a Christian cemetery, which would not be allowed if he were known to be a Muslim. Even the Civil Court in its ruling acknowledged "no one was aware of his conversion to Islam."

Ultimately, the Koran is the deciding authority and it is predetermined against her. She should flee with her children, if at all possible. Otherwise, she will die a Christian pauper and her kids will be assimilated into islam, if they haven't been already.

Correct. Certain liberal preachers, even in the USA, such as Robert Schuller, believes moslems are "saved" because they believe in *a* "jesus" ... it is certainly not the Jesus of Biblical Christianity and by Biblical definition, denying His Deity qualifies as unbelief (as you stated) ... this is the contrast between the believer and the unbeliever in Matthew 16:13-17 (KJV) and John 3:17-18.

Anyone may come to this belief. It's a matter of acceptance by simply asking (John 6:37).

yep. imagine how bad it is in a "non-progressive" moslem country. no doubt many by birth in those countries feel just as oppressed. that's why in Saudi Arabia it is ILLEGAL for a moslem to convert to any other religion than Islam.

Saudi Arabia is the birthplace and progenitor of Islam. there are quite a few that haven't grasped the full meaning of that historical fact. OBL's daddy built Mecca and people think the Saudis don't feel any special ties to the bin Ladens.
