GRESHAM, Ore. -- Gresham police say one charity is going too far by cutting off the Boy Scouts. The Scouts have been the center of controversy for not allowing homosexual leaders. The United Way now says groups with discriminatory rules will no longer receive funds.
But the Gresham Police Association, a supporter of the Scouts, says it's a double standard.
"An organization that purports to be nonpartisan should not be taking this action. And if they do, we don't want to have any affiliation with them, we don't want to be approached by them, we don't want their materials in our workplace," Paul Poitras said.
This year, the Portland-area Boy Scouts Association received more than $100,000 from the United Way.

To celebrate, I say we make a small donation to the Scouts and to the police department that stood up for them.

Anyone who wants to thank the Gresham, Oregon police department can email them here:
carla.piluso@ci.gresham.or.us And, yes, Carla is the correct name.
Let's swamp them with thanks for their American attitude.

Man, now you can't even give to a charitable organization, because the lefties got to them too. This is a shame. Guess you just have to give to reputable churches and religious organizatons to make sure your money is actually doing good.

Good for them.
They have United Way fundraisers every year in our company. Instead I send money to the Boy Scouts and then they have to count it as my company contribution!

It take only seconds to say thank you to the Gresham, Ore. Police Department for respecting the boy scouts:
carla.piluso@ci.gresham.or.us And if they get a lot of support, this thing might spread.

The P.D. can be proud of their stance on this issue.
Anyone that believes perverts should be allowed around children, especially as role models, needs serious help with their moral values.
