From Drudge Report:

THE OTHER LIMBAUGH: NEW BOOK CALL TO ARMS AGAINST 'CHRISTIAN PERSECUTION'

**THE RELIGIOUS WAR IS NOT IN THE MIDDLE EAST, IT IS IN THIS COUNTRY!

**IN 1776, 99.8% OF THE PEOPLE IN AMERICA WERE PROFESSED CHRISTIANS

The new season may be only one day old but the most controversial book of the season may just be: David Limbaugh's PERSECUTION: HOW LIBERALS ARE WAGING WAR AGAINST CHRISTIANITY.

Limbaugh enters a very crowded new book release week [O'Reilly, Albom], but the nationally syndicated columnist and brother of Rush has delivered a crushing blow with a charge that liberals in courts, government, media and Hollywood oppress Christianity and anything Christian.

The book ranked 3,057 on AMAZON's hitparade Monday afternoon. Publisher REGNERY plans 100,000 copies in its initial run.

*A New Jersey teacher was forced by an ACLU suit to abandon plans to take children to see the Broadway version of “A Christmas Carol.”

*School officials in Windsor, Virginia prohibited two graduating seniors from singing “The Prayer,” a popular song sung by Celine Dion, among others. When the students raised their first amendment rights, the school announced there would be no singing of any sort at the graduation ceremony.

*In April 2001, the Logan County Public Library in Bowling Green, Kentucky, fired employee Kimberly Draper for wearing a necklace with a cross pendant to work

With PERSECUTION, Limbaugh ups the ante in the intensifying media/culture battle. He was warns the reader in his introduction:

"This book chronicles discrimination against Christians in American society. While tolerance is touted as the highest virtue in our popular culture, Christians are often subjected to scorn and ridicule and denied their religious freedoms."

It sounds like David Limbaugh, Rush's younger brother, might be sympathetic to Terri's fight. I understand that he has been contacted but has not replied.

Maybe senatorial candidate Klayman could speak up for Terri, but I guess nothing can stop this execution.

Larry Klayman -- well known around Washington for his relentless pursuit of the Clintons during the 90s and more recently for suing Vice President Cheney -- has decided he wants to join Hillary Rodham Clinton, one of his prime targets over the years, in the U.S. Senate.

Klayman, a Republican, tells The Associated Press that he'll seek the seat now occupied by Democrat Bob Graham of Florida. Graham is running for president, though he has not ruled out returning to the Senate for a fourth term.

Klayman has lived in Miami for the last 9 years, shuttling back from time to time to the nation's capital, where the conservative watchdog group he founded in 1994, Judicial Watch, is based.

Corruption and government waste will be key issues of his campaign, Klayman said, as will security in the Sunshine State.

"We have an urgent need here because we have 1,800 miles of coastline. And we are very high on the target list of terrorists," said Klayman, ahead of his formal announcement scheduled for Tuesday morning in Tampa, Fla.

While Klayman has generated headlines recently for his lawsuit over Cheney's energy task force, he made a name for himself, and plenty of enemies, for his numerous lawsuits against the Clintons. Those include two involving Sen. Clinton, D-N.Y. -- a suit by Gennifer Flowers and another concerning the Filegate matter, in which hundreds of background FBI files on Republican officials were found in the Clinton White House.

"I will be the conservative antidote for Hillary Clinton," said Klayman. "I will be her worst nightmare."

Other Republicans seeking the party's nomination for Graham's seat include former U.S. Rep. Bill McCollum and U.S. Rep. Dave Weldon. Several Democrats are said to be exploring the race, including U.S. Reps. Peter Deutsch and Alcee Hastings.

Somehow I don't think the adage "no news is good news" applies when it comes to poor Terri and her persecuted family.

I agree.

Have the Freepers gone on vacation all of a sudden?

There was supposed to be a Federal hearing today before Judge Lazzara.
This would be HUGE NEWS on this thread, and...not a peep, except for a post this morning on the big thread about it.

I'm sitting here, WAITING!!! It's almost 4 P.M. back in Florida.
WHAT's HAPPENING???

"Lawyers for Terri Schiavo's parents are in Federal court today, trying to get a judge to take the case. A Pinellas judge says Terri's husband can stop her tube feeding October 15th. She's been in a sort of coma for 13 years."

I'm here, but Ohio's probably not what you're looking for. I've been checking around to see if there's any word on the hearing yet, but I haven't found anything. I didn't even realize there was a hearing today until a couple of hours ago. I would have been fasting as well if I had known. I think it caught a lot of us by surprise.

Don't you just love the way the media portrays Terri's condition? If they cared at all to verify their stories, they would know that this isn't the truth.

I fear the worst as usual. I suspect that we have heard nothing because the court has not yet ruled. I have no hope of overturning Greer's starvation-to-death order. All we can do is hope against reality.

There was speculation that it was today, since today is 20 days from the first hearing
on Sept. 2nd.

At that hearing, Judge Lazzara gave Terri's lawyers 10 days to refile, and then Felos would have 10 days to respond.

But you're right, there was no official confirmation of this, I believe.

Out here in CA, the hearing on the Recall appeal is on every station, "Live", as I write this.
Terri's case isn't even on the radar screen.

I'm furious about this, but what is there to do?

If she was a manatee they'd be bending over backwards to keep her alive. I mean no disrespect to her, but it's gotten to the point that it makes me sick to my stomach. I am praying she will be able to swallow jello or other soft foods....what will her hubby do then?

Same here (yes, they can hardly stop talking about the recall here, either)! Like you said, Terri's case isn't even close to being on the radar. So, like you, I wait and pray. And e-mail and phone. I would fax, but I don't have access to one. Frustrating.

News; Media; EVERY newspaper in US...LINKS to cut and paste!

Ok, folks....here it is! A CONCISE list of every judge in FLorida; every newspaper in the US (most anyhow), even celeberties such as Erin Brokovich, OReilly, etc....PLEASE CUT AND PASTE and address your email of concern for Terri. I would ADVISE that you put something catchy in the subject line as it will be deleted if it shows your cause! Note: Her family email is also included so they will get a copy, as well.
PLEASE DO THIS TODAY...forward the copy of all the emails to your friends to forward to their friends. Post on every site you can....make this EASY for folks to do. Remember, you will get back aprox 30 "return" emails of undeliverable....but that is still a GREAT AVERAGE considering over 450 email addresses are here! Lets go!!!!

Take care,
Cyndi

This tragedy makes the Shakesperean tragedies seem like near comedies. I am afriad that this latest judge will inflict "the unkindest cut of all" on poor Terri today or Tuesday. Oh, please let me be wrong, dear God.

A real possibility is that this federal judge will say: "I sympathize with you parents, but this is not a federal matter, and Judge Greer's order stands".

Allow me to respond to your post.

I am praying she will be able to swallow jello or other soft foods. He guardian, Michael Schiavo, will not allow any swallowing therapies or the test to determine if she could be rehabilitated to swallowing her foods. She does not get choked on her own saliva or mucus secretions, so it is likely she could now eat by mouth. ...what will her hubby do then? He has stationed guards at her door, to prevent ANY efforts to do rehab with Terri, so he won't have to contemplate the 'then'!

Isn't he remarried anyway? Ahh, therein is a nasty twist accountable to Judge Greer's abject failure in jurisprudence. When Michael was appointed her guardian, he was seeking monies from a malpractice lawsuit. Upon obtaining the win and $750,000 was deposited in an account for Terri's rehabilitation work and $300,000 was deposited in Michael's account for lose of 'wifely duties', he took up with another woman and has one child by her and is, I think, expecting another, but he is still married to Terri. If that doesn't amount to a clear conflict of interests that ought disqualify a man from being the guardian of the wife he has abused (through neglect) and abandoned (to cohabit with a second woman while still married to the first wife), then Florida is not a fit place to live or raise a family! What a disgusting democrat morass Florida has become.
