Bugging me? Not at all. And I haven't tried in the first place. It is a non-issue.

Anthony Cave Brown BUMP! He is a phenomenal writer. Highly recommend his WW2 Opus "Bodyguard of Lies" about espionage activities (amazingly relevant after 25+ years) and his masterpiece - C - The Life of Sir Stewart Mackenzie, head of the British Secret Service from the 1920's to the early 60's. The man Kim Philby ultimately betrayed both professionally and personally. The latter book encompasses every fictional plot between its pages; and they were all true!
Just started Bernard Lewis's latest --
The Crisis of Islam - Holy War and Unholy Terror.

Are they stupid, or following a sinister agenda...Both actually, and the sinister agenda isn't a very secret one. The "professionals" at Foggy Bottom have been pro-Arab, pro-Islamic for a loooong time, and rather openly so, should anyone look. They are stupid, in the fact that they believe that this would help them, should the Islamics achieve their goal of a "totally Islamic" world...

Now a new generation of damn brave operators will face the same fate, due to our naivete in trusting newly hired muslims. Not to mention Arabs like the guy found dead last summer; A "Pro American" polished sophisticate who mingled very comfortably with and was feted by American and European high society and indulged in racehorses. Ran the media in Saudi; a tycoon basically.
And in his heart, mind and soul, he was a Jihadi.
Call me paranoid and alarmist, but we probably don't have any clue as to where the true loyalties of many of the people we call allies overseas and in DC lie.
Look at the bright side of Yee; he was observed (taped?)approaching some radical mosques in the US known for their pro jihadi mullahs and sympathisers. We're watching you!
Hopefully he never passed any info previously. Just thinking of the damage he could've caused; family members of guards potentially targeted to start with, for instance. And we did catch him. Imagine his hubris in thinking he could get away with it!
The high levels of our government are myopic; the street and mid levels have their eyes wide open.
On another note, makes one wonder about some of those suicides and accidental deaths at Gitmo last year.

Do you watch the news? Actually, I live here in Germany and get very little.

Actually, I live here in Germany and get very little. Well I do not mean to start an argument here, but why did you ask why the didnt give the Captains race on the news if you get very little news?
BTW The two years I lived in Neu Ulm, Bavaria I found that listening to Armed Forces Radio, and the BBC, reading Stars and Stripes, and the International Herald Tribune kept me up to date on current affairs as long as I ignored the spin.

In my first post I misspoke, having missed the allusion in the article to his Chinese descent. Later on, in another post, we were considering whether he was also of African- American background.
Since I don't get much tv news, my comments were understandably related to the article which was posted.
Anyway, you are right, this is not worth all this bandwidth.
I am much farther south in Bayern than you were. I can remember the days though when we had to wait for the Trib. Thank God now for Free Republic. I am afraid we are going to lose Armed Forces Radio now with the troop pull out. It was a dark day when we lost Fox News.
The computer also gives me C-span and Rush 24/7. Now that my German has gotten good enough to understand the news, we have more sources from the States.

Every last one of these Muslims should be immediately placed in a compound and watched carefully.
Sorry if that sounds "Mean Spirited", but our very existance is at stake here.
Furthermore I'm convinced at this point that this "Religion" should be considered a Cult and not given chaplain status in the Military.
