The State Department two years ago hailed Capt. Yee's appointment.

Another brilliant move at State.

Are they stupid, or following a sinister agenda that involves sacrificing short-term American power and prestinge in order to make some future, abstract gain which may actually be possible, but would sacrifice many Indian, Israeli, and Anglo-American lives in the process? We can question such a strategy in two ways: 1) we have the power to do it right on a short timetable and with minimal loss of allied life now. 2) the abstract gains may be accellerated losses in the long run.

CFR needs to be purged right out of that organization, out of anything the president can control.

islam is a satanic cult of death.

Capt. Yee has been busy....

Muslims in the U.S. military are as loyal as any, chaplain [James Yee] says

US Military's Muslim Chaplains In Education Role

Fort Jackson a magnet for Muslim soldiers

Muslim soldiers in U.S. military fight misperceptions

Fate of Prisoners From Afghan War Remains Uncertain

These stories all reference or quote Yee. The last one refers to his work at Gitmo.

Drawings and two lists found on his person despite known prohibitions against such things.

Capt. Yee, 35, graduated from the U.S. Military Academy in 1990 and attended artillery school to became a Patriot missile battery officer. Raised as a Lutheran in New Jersey, he converted to Islam while in the Army. He resigned his commission and traveled to Damascus, Syria, where he enrolled in traditional Islamic classes and learned Arabic.

Also known as Yousef, he returned to the United States and rejoined the Army as a chaplain, assigned to the 1st Corps at Fort Lewis, Wash. In November, the Army sent him to Guantanamo to counsel Muslim inmates.

The Bush official disputed statements from some outside intelligence analysts that the United States put Capt. Yee under surveillance from the moment he returned to the Army.

Presuming guilt, did this guy return to the army as a spy or was he simply overwhelmed at what he saw at Guantanamo? If it was the former, how many more of these are burrowing away?

Finally, at the risk of exercising the PC crowd, was this guy a Black Muslim and is there a lot of this going on? It has been reported that the Islamists have had some recruiting gains among the black prison population. What is going on in the civilian sector?

Was this guy a nice suburban Lutheran from New Jersey? If so, a very unusual occurance even after John Walker Lind, and one might be more inclined to guess that his is an isolated case.

If these questions are valid, why wasn't his race reported?

SEE PIASA'S POST # 384 CHAPLAIN YEE TIMELINE, PLUS OTHER WOT DATES CONCERNING FT. LEWIS

It's still a little raw, but interesting. Additions and corrections welcome.

The whole thread is interesting.

FWIW, he is of Chinese descent.

I'm quite interested in the John Allen Muhammed / Ft. Lee link.

The State Department is filled with elite graduates from the very best Ivy League schools. They call each other by their last names or some fond nickname.

They consider themselves too educated and high brow to listen to anyone other than their own inane chatter.

No. He's second-Generation Chinese-American, probably mixed like most of us. Though the government web sites touting their new muslim chaplain did seem quite proud that he converted from Christianity.

Do you have any of the Mohammed material in a timeline format we can add? During the DC Sniper thing I had a lot of work to do so I never made much of a timeline for it.
