What exactly were these traitors intending to do??? Steal prison plans and hand them to AQ so that there could be a jail break?

Heard this on Fox yesterday...another motive was the "operative" plant to kill the prisoners before they had a chance to talk to the U.S. military.

The big risk was a subtle one. Many of the prisoners at Guantanamo are there in secret. Capt. Yee was in the position of revealing to the enemy exactly who we had as prisoners and who we didn't have. Thus, the enemy could figure out which operations have been potentially compromised by the US and those which haven't been and thus can be continued. Warning could then be given to operatives who may be under surveillance by us.
