This is a timely article and I will bookmark it, but I'm not able to receive it yet. Yesterday my husband was told his cancer has returned, he has weeks or months, they can't tell us. We are still dealing with the shock and dread, but I want to thank you for something I will come back to for comfort eventually. Freeper's are the best.

I am so sorry my dear girl.. how difficult it must be on both of you. I can't tell you how sorry I am to hear what you must be going through..
I have already got my mind on some pretty heavy praying tonight, but while I have HIS ear, you and your hubby will get a bump with the man himself.. God bless you both.. Remember we are here for you whenever you need us.. Carlo

I'm sorry to hear about your husband. Please don't give up hope!
Please read Fighting Cancer. It's important that your husband read it as well.

Miss A.P., I am so sorry to hear your sad news about your husband. Weeks or months, I hope you and he will be able to make the most of every moment together.
Thanks to all for your words of consolation to me regarding my sister. She is 62 years old, just married off her youngest son, a grandmother of six, always full of life and vigor. Today I am feeling a little more optimistic. She is a fierce fighter, and if anyone can beat the odds, she can.
Thanks for all the FReeper prayers. They are most powerful. Strength in numbers. Faith in fullest measure.
Let's keep this beautiful hopeful thread at the top.

Yesterday my husband was told his cancer has returned....
Prayers lifted for you and your husband. (I lost my husband to cancer in 1989.)
I don't know you so I hope my thoughts and prayers are received in the spirit in which they're intended. I'll say a special prayer asking God to provide you with the strength or whatever else you'll need to help you as you share your comforting love with your husband in the time you have left together. "Letting go and letting God" isn't always easy. (I don't believe that's because of any lack of faith. It's because we're only human, and He understands that.)
For some reason, "This Little Light of Mine" keeps going through my head as I write this....

We love you; you are not alone.
I have seen miracles of healing and comfort with my own eyes. God does exist, and He heals. Do not give up. But there is a miracle, greater than healing. It is the love you share with this man. Not all have found such a love, and there are those among us who would trade all the rest of our days for one such perfect day with one such beautiful love.
Do not let the shadow of death overcome the light of your love - Love, not death, is the ultimate winner in this battle. Revel in that gift, true love, which is worth more than a thousand lifetimes...
