I'm a McClintock supporter but I gotta say that I liked it when Schwarzenegger went after Huffington. The only problem I had with him going after Huffington is that I wish Schwarzenegger would have defended Bush when Huffington was blaming our problems on Bush (btw, I thought McClintock should have made some comment in defense of Bush as well). It seems to me that when Huffington tried to blame our problems on Bush this presented an opening for Schwarzenegger to say that our state has been run by Democrats for 5 years and they have run it into the toilet, whereas other states haven't been run by Democrats and they have done just fine with Bush as President.

Arnold gained NOTHING by going after Arianna. If anything, he wants her to be more viable so she can siphon off votes from Cruz..

My gosh, you're so right. I didn't think of that, largely because what they DID counterattack with was pretty good as far as it went.

I suppose they know that the polls in CA have Bush's popularity at only 49% or so. But ya know what? It won't take 49%, even, to win this recall (assuming that Davis is dumped on part one of that issue).

Yep, I think so also. Tom should have defended Bush right away, but I do think Arnold did get after that woman at least once when she mentioned Bush, although he might have been a little too out of breath to reply forcefully.

You're forgetting the purpose of a debate. What Arianna did was to try to get them sidetracked. Neither Arnold nor Tom let himself be sidetracked. What Arnold told her was perfect.
