Clinton's Denials Continue

Denial is more than a river in Egypt. It runs through the Clinton administration's Sudan policy.

As the media attention on my book Losing bin Laden grows and it climbs the New York Times bestseller list, some former Clinton officials have emerged to deny the undeniable. They deny that Sudan ever offered to arrest bin Laden and turn him over to American justice, they deny that Sudan ever offered to share its intelligence files on bin Laden's terror network, and they offer excuses for President Clinton's failure to retaliate following bin Laden's attack on the USS Cole (which killed 17 sailors). Since the facts and the on-the-record accounts of senior Clinton officials are against them, they are reduced to parsing words and obfuscatory statements. That's unfortunate. The point of examining Mr. Clinton's flawed war on terror is not to condemn the former president, but to learn from his successes and his setbacks and apply those lessons to the current phase of America's war on terror.

In that spirit, let's examine the record and see how well those denials hold up.

After September 11, some Clinton officials admitted their mistakes. Jamie Gorelick, a deputy attorney general in the Clinton Justice Department, told the Boston Globe: "Clearly, not enough was done. We should have caught this. Why this happened, I don't know . . . We should have prevented this." Nancy Soderberg, a member of Clinton's National Security Council, added: "In hindsight, it wasn't enough, and anyone involved in policy would have to admit that."

Madeleine Albright recently told Bill O'Reilly, "do you think we're so stupid that, if somebody had offered us Osama bin Laden, we would haven't taken it?"

Madam Secretary, that is now for the American people to judge.

Call them what they are: LIES. Clinton admitted not not taking Bin Laden when he was offered by Sudan, and now his flunkies are trying to lie his way out of this, trying to neutralize it as a capaign issue that could be used against H*****y.

Think of all the people who would be alive today if another bimbo eruption had started rumbling just before Sudan made that offer....

There is some acreage now unoccupied in lower Manhattan that wouldn't be if the LIEING x42 would have accepted any of the offers to take custody of OBL. Not to mention the ripple effect he has wraught on this country, namely the worsening conditions of the airline industry, travelers being treated like the criminals THEY ARE NOT, security checkpoints at places they weren't before 9-11, and the increasing presence of BIG BROTHER everywhere. All this because x42 was moer interested in bj's than the security of this country. What a pathetic excuse of a person. And the 49% of the electorate that put him in twice are also to blame for the ills radiating from those decisions that lead to the attacks of September 11, 2001. They owe the rest of us a BIG APOLOGY. If(when) Hitlery runs for the presidentcy, all this needs to be brought up and thrown in her face. It won't be because the liberal media won't bring such "trivial matters" up. Can't have her answering tough questions, you know. She bears her share of the blame, too. We should all remind her of that when it comes time. How the sheeple of New York put her in the Senate is beyond me. The clowntons should be in jail for putting this country in harm's way.

Yes, Hillary's going to have problems when she runs because the truth of the matter is that their administration failed on everything.

Yeah, frankly I do! You and your Bill Clinton could of cared less about your Constitutional oath of office.

You were too concerned with making Americans into a bunch of PC Zombies, while creating enormous chaos, mayhem, and absolute destruction of our intelligence capability while descimating our military.

Bill Clinton was too concerned about what was going on under his desk than what was on top and Albright was too concerned about which brooch to wear to her next buffet.
