And you have a hard time finding a decent cognac under $100. XO is the level you need to be at to enjoy "real" cognac (analogous to "single malt" for schotch, typicallly $30-40 or more to get the represaetative quality stuff.) One bargain cognac is Gabriel & Andreu, which avoids the clying flavor of most big-name VSOPs.
