I resent the 90% over 90 yrs old or the 90% of the 9 who hate JOE. I am very much less than 90 I will need those 50 extra years and can't say I hate Joe in any way.
I get my "cup-o-joe" from a percolator. ALways have. Gets hotter faster. 1000 watts. POOF, coffee. Starbucks and the other "coffee houses" are just fads. I am a coffee fan. Strong, caffinated and hot.
No matter how much one tries to avoid "lifer juice" in the Army, it seems you always end up with a cup of it in your possesion. Coffee is truly "the nectar of the Gods"
As for the "older DEMS" this kinda goes the way you decribe the "joe haters" they vote Dem because they feel loyalty to FDR and HST. But there it ends. The cildren of the Viet Nam vets are for the most part Reps.
Oh well my "kitchen noise maker" is silent now gotta go pour me a cup.

Dame Judy has not looked like that in a really long time, if ever. Can you say "Air-brushed & photoshopped"? I knew you could...

A howler, yes -- but I think the "car keys" line is spot-on. That's what makes it so hilarious!
The D's are headed for a real war to see whether or not the Clintons will remain in control of the party. The Clinton machines providing the money and the muscle, but in Iowa and New Hampshire the envelope stuffers and telephone diallers are already spoken for, and I wouldnt bet on them switching. In my part of New Hampshire, there are no lawn signs for any other candidate but Dean, and those voters arent as fickle as the guys in that CNN poll. . . . To date, [Deans] run a brilliant campaign and is the principal beneficiary of his partys visceral loathing of Bush and all his works. Hes poised to kill off two Democrat bigshots in the first two votes former House minority leader Dick Gephardt in the Iowa caucus and Senator Kerry in the New Hampshire primary. Is he going to sit back and let some Clinton stooge whos never run for anything steal the nomination away from him? Not if hes the same Howard Dean Ive spent a decade watching from my side of the Connecticut River. When the going gets tough, Dean gets mean.
Sounds like a lovely summer!

With the addition of the newest dwarf, Wesley Clark...Monica Lewinsky might as well run...she was the ultimate mouthpiece for Bill Clinton. She would move to the head immediately.
