So let me get this straight...Simon and Issa didn't have a prayer to get your vote because one ran a lousy campaign and the other shouldn't have been in the race because he funded the recall (which relied heavily on grass roots activism and the support of over a million voters)? You have to admit, those are extremely weak reasons to not vote for either one of 'em.

Not at all. I concluded they were weak candidates weeks before the weaknesses of their candidacies led them to drop out of the race.

Schwarzenegger, while a much stronger candidate, is wrong on too many issues for too many voters who now intend to vote for McClintock.

Without the benefit of a nomination by primary, where those types of things, along with party platforms, get hashed out, Schwarzenegger needs to understand why there is still reisistance within his own party to his candidacy. There is no presumptive mandate for his slate of positions.

Therefore, if he's sincerely interested in party unity, he needs to address that resistance on a positive fashion.
