>>>>offender's right to privacy outweighed any state need to make the offender's personal information widely available.
Yet, our police, firemen, and other 'protectors' have no rights to privacy. I can access their personal info easily.

Prisoners and ex-cons have a lot of rights. Look at that guy who is getting a lung transplant for free compliments of the taxpayers. He lives while law-abiding citizens die.
Cop Killer Tom Trantino had conjugal visits and is now walking the streets a free man and nobody knows where he lives. He's not a sex criminal, he's a cop killer.

I told you about that 'thing' in Rahway Prison that gets a police van once a month for hormone shots and treatments. State funds buys him bras behind bars too.

Oh, that's right, I forgot about "it". What a crazy PC world in which we live.

I've got friends on both sides of the bars. In Ohio, the prisoners DO NOT get any special medical treatment. (lately Ohio has made national news about the treatment of inmates) I'm not an activist for prisoners rights, but damn, when they give pepto bismol for a heart attack, one has to wonder...
There has to be a line between right and wrong.

Arkansas, too. In fact, they name libraries after them.

I wonder how long it's going to be before some abuse victim decides to look these guys up and go on a serial killing spree.

ROFL!!! Thanks for that laugh!
Some Missouri counties do this, but it is not a statewide coordinated effort. I wish it was.
To: Calpernia
EXCELLENT to see this, thanks!

They should put most of the ex-con's names on the internet, not just sex offenders. There is a high recidivism rate among criminals, would someone want a convicted drug dealer, murderer, rapist, burglar, etc. living next door to them? Let's face it, statistics show that criminals usually commit the same crimes again.
And I'm still not sure if they (ex-cons) are allowed to vote in NJ? I know a convicted felon can't vote but what about an ex-con felon? or someone who pleaded guilty to a crime and is on probation?

Vote republican? I dare say, not one of them. But the Dems have 9,000 names they can rely on to be in their corner.

You guys are all such good, wholesome people right? I'm a convicted felon in NJ, did my time, cleaned myself up and moved on. Not the majority of con's do that, but I did. At this point, I'm just as much as a good, wholesome person as you.
But I can't vote, not just in NJ, but ANYWHERE in the US. You think prisoners in NJ are treated so well? How many of you have ever stepped foot in a jail or a prison? I looked like death when I was released because I couldn't get enough food in a day. Medical? Forget the Transsexual.....what about the normal guy who has a spinal problem, like me, and gets ONE TYLENOL per day?
I paid my debt to society, and I don't know where anyone gets the idea that cons or felons have lots of rights.
Publish MY NAME for the public to see where I live, where I work, where I support my family, and decided to settle down and move on with my life? No Sir, No M'am, no thank you. What I did in my past haunts me every day of my life. I don't need to share that with the public.
BTW.....I am NOT a sex offender. I'm only responding to this because some poster said that ALL convicts should have their addresses released.
To: Calpernia
Are there any nymphomaniacs among them?
(Hey, can't a fellow axe?!)
