[history]
One of the untold stories of this campaign is the degree to which Democrats have helped Tom McClintock stay competitive in the race to replace. Everyone by now knows that the casino gaming tribes, which clearly favor Bustamante, are helping McClintock in what appears to be a strategy of pulling votes away from Schwarzenegger. But Democrats also have given McClintock a completely free pass on policy positions he has taken that are opposed to everything Democrats believe in.

Thanks! I was just about to post this one. I'm glad you did.

Once again this guy is on the attack against McClintock.
The Democrats would give Tom great aid if they did attack
his stances on the issues the extra attention would
be great for him.

This is exactly what the dems did last fall in the Rebuplican primary; attack the front runner and aid someone else. Sneaky, conniving, underhanded, but effective...

But only effective when not too blatant. I think they might be too transparent this time.

There is no "dirt" on Tom.
Yes, the press has given Tom a free ride. He isn't the front-runner.

Once again this guy is on the attack against McClintock. Nonsense. Weintraub is just telling it like it is. The same Indian casino tribes that gave Bustamante $5 million are spending hundreds of thousands of dollars running McCruz ads. And Bustamante was on TV yesterday saying what a fine fellow McCruz is, how gosh, he may not always agree with him but he's a great guy and you always know where he stands. The Dems and their backers are doing everything but hooking up an oxygen tank to keep McCruz' campaign alive.

Okey-doke. Just for the sake of argument, let's go with this theory. Let's say McClintock pulls out and endorses Wilsonegger.
How would DemocRATS respond?

I noticed this weeks ago when I saw that Alan Colmes has nothing but praise for a candidate that is opposed to literally everything he believes but has nothing positive to say about Arnold the liberal/RINO Republican.I guess that's the difference between a Liberal and a Democrat party hack.

It is true. I have not heard one democrat attack McClintock at all to be honest. There is plenty to attack him on in their minds. Abortion, gays, affirmative action. They actually agree with Ah-Nold for the most part on those issues, but they are attacking Arnold instead.
I favor McClintock over Arnold, but I must be honest here. McClintock is being given a free ride by dems/press because they feel that every vote for him, is a vote that Arnold won't get.

Uh... not too transparent to the Tomikazes.

The Dems are helping Tom, but Arnold is the "RINO." Go figure.

They would/will fully unleash the Mullholand slime machine.By election day they would have us believe Schwatzenegger is a dope fiend, pedophile, racist, communist, Nazi.
