The Schwarzenegger campaign aired a commercial last week that calls for Indian casinos to "pay their fair share" toward the state’s $38 billion budget deficit

A simple question - do these tribes benefit from any state services or actions?

Schools
Roads
Health Care
Other Social Services
etc.

If so, then why SHOULDN'T they pay their "fair share"?

I have noticed when the media reports on gambling, gaming or casinos, the term 'Indian' is always used - not 'Native American'. Has anyone else noticed this?

Why doesn't this article mention the ~7% of net revenues that casinos pay the state of Nevada, making state income tax there unnecessary?

No I suspect 'tock wouldn't be trying to collect any additional state revenue from the Indians. Why he may upset his money pipeline....

McClintock, Schwarzenegger’s major Republican opponent, won’t be looking for any new revenue from the tribes, said campaign spokesman John Stoos. He said voters should be wary of any candidate who does.

He says the Indians don't have to pay their part for the infrastructure Californians have provided Indian Gaming, or their fair share for the crime it attracts, or their fair share for clean up and congestion on roads leading to casinos.

The prostitution in the Morongo Valley is legendary, it's no coincidence that the Morongo Casino is located nearby. That attracts a whole laundry list of expensive problems. Health and safety issues that are paid for by the state taxpayers. The Indians Gaming enterprise pays no state tax on their profits, unlike other businesses in the state.
