It's back.

After a short hiatus, courtesy of three activist judges on the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, the California gubernatorial recall election is on schedule again for Oct. 7. The court's 11-member panel rebuked the smaller panel, finding no compelling reason to interfere in a state election. The idea that punch-card ballots are too inaccurate to use even though they have been used in this state for decades was too much even for this court. Often, the lunatics run the asylum in California, but occasionally the adults retake control. Here, fortunately, is one of those cases.

To sell out, and vote for a winnable candidate is a sellout, they say. Besides, advocates of this view remind us, "If all those people who say they like Tom but think he can't win would actually support him, maybe he can win."

It's a reasonable choice, supporting the principled candidate, but staying alert and switching votes at the last moment to stop a disaster. McClintock has even suggested that his voters might take a similar course.

So, in reality, Tom MClintock is a traitor and sellout of "true" conservatives, according to his TomBots definition, since he basically said it would be "ok" for his TomBots to vote for Arnold on election day if he(Tom) was still way behind in the polls.

TomBots, you're going to support a "traitor" and "sellout"?

Please, don't twist like pretzels trying to explain this.

"If all those people who say they like Tom but think he can't win would actually support him, maybe he can win."

People ARE beginning to get it.

New Gallup Poll says
39% of registered voters believe Schwarzenegger “is not capable” of governing the state.

Tom's 'favorable' ratings in that poll are just as high as Arnold's.
Arnold's 'unfavorable' rating is almost double that of Tom's.

Go Tom, you have my vote.

The "vote for Tom" number surged from 14% to 18%. Arnold has move into the 30% plus range. Give Tom another few months, he'd still lose.

LOL... if you call that a "twist", it doesn't say much about your comprehension level.
You'd better read the Poll again.
Do you think that Arnold Schwarzenegger is - or is not –
capable of governing the state of California? Yes 56 No 39 No Opinion 5 Do you have a favorable or unfavorable opinion of Arnold Schwarzenegger Favorable 59 Unfavorable 31 Never heard of 1 No opinion 9

Didn't see that one. Funny, though, how people will knock USA today as being a liberal rag, until their position is supported.
