I dunno about this rest of the people in the world but I never stopped and thought... DAMN that is a really black name. What is the world coming to and who had the bloody time to sit and study such a mundane topic to this degree?

I think this is more an issue of perceived class distinctions. The "black" sounding names tend to be stereotyped as ghetto sounding.
I'd venture to say that someone of the pale skin persuasion, named Billy Bob or Bobby Sue, is more likely to get hired at Costco than Nieman Marcus.

Welcome to FR.
A sterling start to an intellectual quest.
You do know you are the exception rather than the rule?

In the real world, most thinking people ponder about such trivia 24/7.
So long as it remains in the intellectual area, are you suggesting the the PC police or thought control police should monitor and control such thought?
