Senator Chuck Schumer was scheduled to attend a 2:30 P.M. summit in Fulton, New York this afternoon, but instead cancelled his appearance to hold a live press conference to bash the Bush White House. The summit had been set to discuss the re-opening of the Nestle Chocolate Factory in Fulton, New York, which closed this past May and took with it over 450 jobs. Public officials from all over the state were scheduled to attend in an attempt to work out a plan to re-open the factory and replace the jobs previously lost. There are two chocolate manufacturers interested in leasing the building.
During the press conference, Sen. Schumer stated that it "was business as usual" with the President. It would appear that it's business as usual with Mr. Schumer as well. He's certainly shown that he's more interested in getting face time on national television & bashing President Bush, than in solving the economic and unemployment problems in his state.

The newspaper link in the heading is to the original story announcing the summit. I heard on the Syracuse radio station that Schumer had cancelled his attendance at the summit at the last minute. I put two and two together and figured he'd blown off the locals to make political points at the expense of his constituents.

SOP for Schumer has done zero for the state of NY. I have old sneakers that have accomplished more for NY than Chucky.

Chuckie is what a family member of mine with a colorful vocab would call a dumb (expletive deleted). He bails on his constituents, upsetting them, to flog a dead horse. Smooth move, Chuckie.

The bonus is, this so-called story is going to blow up in Schumer's fat face in the next 24 hours...

Somebody turned on the spotlights, and the dancing bear had to dance.
Screw all those unemployed losers without television cameras.

Lieberman just said he is going to call for the re-instatement of the independent cousel law so the Bush Administation can be investigated. Can you believe this?

Probably not, but I did send messages to Drudge, Rush, and Sean Hannity.
The Syracuse radio station had been announcing all last week that Schumer was going to attend. When I heard on the radio this afternoon that he had cancelled at the last minute, it was so obvious that he blew off the people in Fulton, New York in order to get face-time on TV. I see that Novak has come out publicly on this and has already refuted the allegations that anyone at the White House was involved in leaking her name. As usual, Chuckie and the rest of the Demoncrats jump on something that has no legs and come up looking like the fools they are.

I'm going to tune into Brit Hume and see if any of the latest news on the Wilson non story is discussed.

It's New York. They'll both be reelected.

Yep, the case just kinda washed ashore like a wave containing someone else's garbage washing up on a beach. The usual suspects are trying to manufacture themselves another campaign platform out of it. Chucky just parrots whatever the DLC tell him.
