I thought I heard him say that no one from the Bush Administration leaked this information to him. Did I fall asleep and dream that or is that what he said? Nope your not losing your hearing
Novak indeed said his informant was not from this Administration nor the White House.
Couple that with the admission from Ambassador Wilson, that he got "caught up in the moment" when he alluded to Mr.Rove as being the leaker, and you have a very NON STORY.

You are entirely right. Wilson admitted on FNC today that he said it. Just goes to show what hogwash is being written about this and 99% of it is just lies and fabrications.
To: mhking
Senator Jay Inslee, the Democrat from Washington, said he intended to see "whether or not we can get Karl Rove frog-marched out of the White House in handcuffs." Wasn't it actually Wilson that said this?
This "journalist" can't even get the basics of the story right. He also states that Novak revealed her name (over and over again), yet it was Wilson who revealed her name, Novak just said she worked for the CIA.
Plus this so called "journalist" also says that impeachment should be started because the whole Iraq affair was a fraud (does Teddy Kennedy have a ghost writer) and that this is the beginning of the investigation.
Wheres the barf alert?

I thought I heard him say that no one from the Bush Administration leaked this information to him. Did I fall asleep and dream that or is that what he said? You were dreaming.
This is what Novak said on CNN. He was very careful to parse his words. What he said is that no one in the Bush administration called him to leak this, but it was brought up during an intervew with a "senior administration official":
ROBERT NOVAK, CO-HOST: Paul, I have been beleaguered by television networks around the world, but I am reserving my say for CROSSFIRE.
Nobody in the Bush administration called me to leak this. In July, I was interviewing a senior administration official on Ambassador Wilson's report when he told me the trip was inspired by his wife, a CIA employee working on weapons of mass destruction. Another senior official told me the same thing.
As a professional journalist with 46 years experience in Washington, I do not reveal confidential sources. When I called the CIA in July, they confirmed Mrs. Wilson's involvement in a mission for her husband on a secondary basis, who is -- he is a former Clinton administration official. They asked me not to use her name, but never indicated it would endanger her or anybody else.
According to a confidential source at the CIA, Mrs. Wilson was an analyst, not a spy, not a covert operative, and not in charge of undercover operatives. So what is the fuss about, pure Bush-bashing?

Novak indeed said his informant was not from this Administration nor the White House.See my post #27. Novak said that no one from the administration called him to leak this, but the subject came up while he was interviewing a "senior administration official."
Novak was careful to parse his words when he read his statement.

The story really didn't make much of a splash back then (Bob Novak's columns seldom do). In the hot and lazy summer, power outages in the Northeast and the corpses of Saddam's kids sucked up all the newsprint. A story several MONTHS old, and they are just NOW coming out with allegations that someone in the Bush White House illegally leaked the name of a CIA operative? Right now the media is blowing this WAY up into the stratosphere; if this were a story, then it would have overshadowed the power outages and the Hussein boys on it's own merits.
Besides, Valerie Plame is an ANALYST; I don't see how the publishing of her name would endanger field operatives.

Robert Novaks relentless.."Israel bashing"..is a hint that there is something off with this guy morally.
For someone who glories in having the inside word of whats going on in Washington..coupled with his penchant to rebuke other debaters in public forums,..and sneer at them.....Novak simply sets himself up for the eventuall fall.
I was glad when he left the Mclaughlin group.

It's my opinion that Robert Novak wouldn't mind smearing some stink on Dubya and his administration.
Novak is anti-Israel as hell and he was against the Iraq war, probably because any enemy of Israel isn't all bad in his eyes.

According to various liberals, White House staffers leaked the name to 6 newspapers. Why don't they ask the others who it was?

Bob Novak has now said that NO ONE FROM THE WHITE HOUSE gave him the information.
As Usual .. the dems are on a witch hunt - and as usual the door will hit them in the face. They think the DOJ under Askcroft is as inept as Reno - fools!
The dems are not going to like what information gets outed - and hopefully it will shut them up - at least for awhile.

Novak indeed said his informant was not from this Administration nor the White House. How sweet if this so-called informer is a holdover from the Clintons.
The Dems have taken the bait and are running with it.
Oh, how I would love to set the hook and reel in these rotten bottom-feeders.
It is possible that Wilson himself was the source of this story.
