I hadn't read your yesterday post cross-referencing the recall into this.

Speculating: Clintonistas have had this in their back pocket for two months waiting for the right moment. They and cronies in CIA knew there was an undercover component that would be enough to spark an investigation.

Assuming then the timing was completely under DEMOCRAT control, why IS this the right time? If not the recall spinning out of control, and/or the SOTU 16 words false scandal deeply out of steam, then what?

Hillary must come in and save us from the corruption and incompetence of the Bush Administration. We must get our reputation back from the world! Bush is spending all the money so he can abolish social security and medicare(cspan caller in hysterics yesterday). Gosh, there are so many reasons for Hillary to break her pledge to New Yorkers not to run for president. If she gets in while Bush ia getting attacked and his poll numbers are down, then she can show a poll that says how close the race would be if she got in. Since she is the only democrat that is so close to beating him in the polls, she must save the country and enter the race. And God bless Gen. Clark that he has agreed to be her V.P. Just a thought...

I can't imagine what else drove the timing of the release... They couldn't hold this off until just before the election in '04, so in some ways, it's better to clear the underbrush now and move on.
