September was the sunniest on record and the driest since 1997, says the Met Office.
The sun shone brightly for an average of six hours a day - the best figure for September since records began in 1961.
Just 33m of rain fell during the entire month, less than half the average.
England and Wales both enjoyed warmer temperatures than usual of just 60F.
But Gravesend in Kent did not have the hottest day ever as was reported in August.
That honour went to Brogdale, also in Kent, where 38.5C (101.3F) was recorded on August 10.
That was slightly higher than Gravesend's 38.1C (100.6F) the same day.
The average maximum temperature for central England so far this year has also broken records.
At 16.3C (61.3F), the nine months from January to September were the warmest since records began in 1659.

I actually don't care about the weather... I was just in a mood to post beautiful girls in bikinis.

I don't know, 33 meters of rain seems a tad wet.

And I'd like to host them. :-)

Got an email from my buddy down in Dorset the other day and he said there were still topless women sunbathing on the beach so I guess it is still quite warm and sunny .
